By Robert Walden, HE Travel Tour Director. On Saba you can enjoy a completely different experience from all the cruise ship stops, party beaches and casino-packed towns that typify so much of the Caribbean. Saba offers an intimate Caribbean experience that makes you feel at home from the moment you step out of the plane after the minute flight from St. Even better, Saba has been a gay-friendly destination ever since when we ran our first annual dive trip there.
Bordered by white sand coastlines and filled with everything from wilderness and wildlife to modern metropolises and heritage cities, Malaysia is for every type of traveller. The outdoorsy have the jungles of Borneo and the mighty Mount Kinabalu; the animal lovers can spot the protected orangutangs, turtle hatchlings or pygmy elephants in Sabah, while the foodies have centuries of flavors to explore from east to west. Wanderers have their pick of cities ranging from the new-age KL, the gateway city of Koto Kinabalu , to the heritage, UNESCO streets of Georgetown. And, of course, the beaches.
It is the second-longest river in Malaysia and a popular destination to experience the surrounding rainforest and see some incredible animals in their natural habitats, like the orang-utans, pygmy elephants, proboscis monkeys and many more. We based ourselves at the excellent gay-friendly and gay-owned hotel called Last Frontier Boutique Resort. It is located in Bilit village, almost m above sea level, right in the heart of the rainforest. Heads up: We just wanted to let you know that this post contains affiliate links.
